Nigeria loses N3bn in two days at Lagos ports

Lagos - Not less than N3 billion was lost in two days by Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) in three seaports in Lagos due to the breakdown of its server.

The server broke down as a result of the heavy storm that occurred in Lagos on Sunday morning, reports New Telegraph.
The affected ports are Apapa Area 1, Tincan Command and Kirikiri Lighter Terminal.

The server breakdown is currently causing a heavy backlog of containers at the ports. Nigeria generates over N700million daily from Tincan Port while Apapa Command and Kirikiri Lighter Terminal generate over N600 million and 450million respectively.
